Q: How many types of gate valves are there? What is the distinguishing method?

A: (1) According to the structure of the ram is mainly divided into two categories:

a. Parallel gate valve - the sealing surface is parallel to the vertical center line, that is, the two sealing surfaces are parallel to each other. The parallel gate valve is divided into double gate and single gate. It is divided into diversion holes and non-diversion holes.

b. Wedge gate valve - - the sealing surface is at an Angle to the vertical center line, that is, the two sealing surfaces are wedge-shaped gate valves. The wedge gate valve is divided into double gate, single gate and elastic gate.

(2) According to the structure of the valve stem is divided into two categories:

Open stem gate valve -- The valve stem nut is on the valve cover or support, and the rotating valve stem nut is used to realize the lifting of the valve stem when opening and closing the gate plate.
